Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Payable Processor at ViaSat, your prime responsibility will be working with various suppliers, processing invoices for payment. Your attention to detail will be a benefit as you check and verify records, prepare invoices, verify coding accuracy, voucher, file and prepare check runs. Utilizing your accounting expertise, you will create general journal entries and/or balance accounts payable records. You will leverage your computer skills in an ERP system to input a high volume of data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects and respond to inquiries. You will be responsible for resolving account discrepancies using your ability to reconcile difficult accounts.

Qualification Requirements:
- 5 plus years’ Accounts Payable experience in high volume environment including matching, coding, entering invoices, processing check runs, resolving discrepancies and interfacing with suppliers.
- Experience working for European entities.
- Must have a basic understanding of GAAP accounting principles related to Accounts Payable.
- Experience with large ERP systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and experience with audit procedures of A/P records preferred.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will utilize an ERP system to run reports, process customer payments including ACH, wire transfers, checks and credit card transactions. You will also process adjustments, reconcile bank statements, prepare audit packets and work closely with internal business units and external customers to resolve payment issues.
You will be responsible for complex month-end account reconciliations, prepare and track proforma invoices, refund packets and perform other cash related duties including ad hoc reporting and any additional Accounts Receivable projects. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure accuracy in our Cash Applications system. You will use your excellent written and verbal communication skills to respond to email inquiries and phone calls in a high-volume environment.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
- 7+ years experience with Cisco Switch/Routers/ASA Firewalls, or equivalent, in addition to hands-on experience in network design including Layer 2/3 design
- 5+ years experience with Linux based systems
- 3+ years experience in U.S. Army Wide Area Networks
- Within 50 miles of Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG)
- Advanced proficiency in the troubleshooting and tuning of the component hardware, software, networking and communications protocol problems
- Thorough understanding of routing protocols like EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP and network based ACL’s in addition to switching protocols such as 802.1D, 802.1Q, 802.1ad, QinQ, STP.
- Demonstrable expertise in protocol standards such as IPv4, Mobile IP, 802.11b/g, GRE, ARP, DMVPN, and IPSEC
- Strong proficiency with network Monitoring protocols and tools such as Wireshark, WinPcap, and Nfdump; as well as with network management protocols such as SNMP, LDAP and AAA
- Up to 25% domestic and international travel
