The Sonos Professional category delivers Installed Solutions for Business and Residential spaces through our network of thousands of professional installers worldwide. We serve these spaces through integrated hardware, software, & services.
The Senior Product Manager of Loudspeakers for the Professional audience will establish the direction and influence our investment for sound experiences and loudspeaker products targeting residential and commercial spaces.
Responsibilities:
Chart the course for the next generation of sound experiences made possible through partnership with professional installers for residential and commercial spaces.
Define and own end-to-end user experiences and loudspeaker products for the Professional category, ranging from passive loudspeakers to smart speaker solutions.
Lead 1st party Sonos initiatives or in partnership with key strategic partners and OEMs.
Understand the customer’s problems and desires to define unique opportunities and experiences for Sonos to earn loyalty and increase engagement.
Synthesize and drive product strategy across internal stakeholders: executive team, engineering, design, audio, user experience, sales & marketing.
Utilize insights, data, and industry trends to identify and drive experiences and technology that improve the user experience to drive engagement and business results.
Foster a culture of innovation while continuing to scale the business.
Qualification Required:
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Product Management in a loudspeaker product category or experience working in complete audio system solutions from a manufacturer or system design/ integration capacity.
Demonstrated success in collaborating cross functionally across product management, engineering, user research, user experience, sales & marketing.
Experience leveraging data and insights to drive product vision and experiences.
Experience with navigating complex intersections between product and regulatory requirements, including relevant building codes.
Proven experience driving the creation of documents such as A&E specifications, spec sheets and speaker modeling data
Preferred Qualifications
Customer first orientation with user centered design experience
Confident diving into details with technical teams ranging from cloud services to hardware engineering, but also eager to address category-wide strategic dynamics.
Outcome oriented leader who can drive results leading cross-functional teams with influence.
Exceptional verbal and written communicator with a knack for making complex topics simple and evangelizing and inspiring people at all levels of the organization based on a shared vision.

We consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may cause compensation to vary depending on your skills, experience and qualifications. This job is also eligible for discretionary bonuses as well as an opportunity to become a Sonos shareholder because all full time employees are eligible for stock grants. The minimum base pay may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions.
The starting minimum base pay for this role is: $144,000

Sonos is seeking a senior level Design Operations Manager to join its high-performing, collaborative product team. The role of a Design Manager at Sonos requires balancing a deep sense of collaboration & communication, quality, and a desire to deliver the ‘right product’ within schedule to the expected standard. This comes through working together with Design Management, Design Leads, Project Managers, Program Management, and cross-functional engineering teams.
As the Design Operations Manager, you are expected to collaborate with team members within the design team to help deliver the highest quality design possible. Your role is to lead the team, building, refining and communicating great design solutions that uphold or improve the design intent, and can work effectively with engineering needs. But your role is not limited to this.
You will also be involved in defining, refining, and implementing best practices & process within design, and with partner teams in Engineering & Manufacturing. The aim of this is to maintain design quality and experience alignment throughout the product development process.
Responsibilities:
- Apply your expertise and skills to lead a team of talented designers, helping them realise, refine, and communicate great design solutions that uphold or improve the design intent.
- Be involved in defining, refining, and implementing best practices & process within design, and with partner teams in Engineering & Manufacturing.
- Interpret design intent in a way that expresses a high level of understanding of form, function, visual composition, and conceptual integrity.
- Contribute to early concept exploration, visualisation, and presentations when needed.
- Ensure design data is well organised, maintained, tracked, and made easily accessible to team members, while also providing the team with the required equipment and facilities to complete the project effectively – including managing lab facilities, organising whatever is needed to ensure a functioning and safe environment.
- Work with the Product and Program Management to ensure Design outcomes align with the project product requirements, while maintaining the design schedule and team structure deliverables.
- Communicate with Team Leaders to ensure cross project alignment, both within your business unit and the wider Sonos team.
- Own coordination of prototyping activities including but not limited to working with prototype suppliers to coordinate build specifications and schedule. Driving on prototype quality and testing.
- Drive alignment between Industrial Design, Sustainability, System UX Design, and Structural Packaging Design, amongst other design disciplines, to support workload, schedule and deliverables.
