- Monitoring and managing applied music sound booths and student schedules,
- Helping students during open lab hours,
- Assist in advertising and coordinating recitals and music juries,
- Coordinate instrument tuning and music discipline purchases, and
- Exhibit positive attitude and provide general administrative support as needed.
- Monitor sound booths and equipment as needed,
- keep regular inventory of supplies,
- maintain a clean and orderly environment,
- and be present when students use sound booths.
- Coordinate instrument tuning and music discipline purchases.
- Direct questions to the Associate Dean, Faculty, and LASS Division Office Manager as necessary.
- Perform various administrative & organizational duties in support of the Associate Dean and LASS Division Office Manager, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Manage music instruments and sound booths.
- Keep a regular inventory of items.
- Assist in the coordination of music discipline events.
- Coordinate instrument tuning and purchases.
- Keep all rooms clean.

Minimum Qualification:
- Working knowledge of employment interviewing techniques, employment and wage laws and guidelines, and office operations and etiquette.
- Strong customer service, oral and written communication, and computer skills (experience using Microsoft Office Professional and/or similar software).
- Ability to interact effectively with employers and the public and to discuss, interpret, and apply agency standards and procedures.
- Ability to conduct interviews and research, and use web-based applications to enter data and conduct database searches.

1.) Wage employees serve at the will and pleasure of the appointing authority. Wage employees are not covered by the provisions of the Virginia Personnel Act; therefore, they are not eligible for the benefits which are provided to salaried employees, such as leave credits, holiday pay, health and life insurance, access to the grievance procedure, etc.
2.) Wage employees are paid only for the hours they work.
3.) Wage employees may not work beyond 1,500 hours (29 hours weekly) in a 365-day period. (The 365-day period is considered the employee’s “work year” and begins on the first day of May every year.)
2. DMV Driver Licensing Specialist Senior

Minimum Qualification:
- Considerable knowledge of business English and work organization.
- Ability to interpret, explain, and apply complex material such as the Virginia Motor Vehicle Code, Code of Federal Regulations, rules, regulations, and procedures pertaining to DMV, as well as United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policies and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with other employees and the public.
- Ability to perform research regarding documents of other agencies and the procedures by which they are issues.
- Ability to work with a diverse customer base.
- Skill in communicating courteously and effectively with others both orally and through written correspondence in a manner that reflects an in-depth understanding of the subject matter.

Minimum Qualification required
- Considerable experience with administrative support functions, workflow analysis, and policy interpretation and application.
- Considerable experience developing, drafting, formatting and proofreading memorandums, letters, and reports.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office, spreadsheet and graphics packages, online Google software programs, DocuSign, and Adobe Reader, and ability to use (and improve) an existing digital storage system.
- Strong analytical and organization skills.
- Excellent communication skills in writing, public speaking, including planning/conducting training in person, via webinars, etc. and personal communication; competent research skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Ability to travel independently or with other agency staff; Occasional overnight travel.
- A valid State Driver’s License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
Preferred Qualification :
- Graduation from college with a degree in business/business administration, or related field is desirable.
- Knowledge/experience with grants management or project management.
- Experience using technology to manage workload.
- Ability to read, learn, understand, apply and write about laws and regulations related to the implementation of state- or federally-funded programs;
- Interact effectively with organizations and individuals associated with planning and implementing projects designed to carry out the mission of funding source(s).

4. Meat and Poultry Enforcement Officer

Salary : $42,000 – $54,600 annually
Minimum Qualification:
- Significant knowledge of the meat industry including products, processing, regulations and enforcement of applicable laws.
- Computer proficiency using standard business applications.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret & apply laws/regulations;
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public in order to facilitate investigations;
- To gather, understand and analyze pertinent data in investigations and render reasonable and rational decisions;

- Degree in animal science, food science, or a related field and/or experience in criminal investigation;
