LOCATION: O’HARE AND MIDWAY International Airports
HOURS: 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m., 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. -10:30 p.m.
WATCH/SHIFTS: Various (1st, 2nd, & 3rd Watch)
DAYS OFF: VARIOUS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent certificate (GED), plus three years of work experience in receiving and processing calls for public safety or emergency services OR three years of work experience dispatching security or emergency services calls to public safety or security personnel, or an equivalent combination of experience.
Must obtain Emergency Medical Dispatch certification from the State of Illinois within six months of hire.
Must obtain LEADS certification within six months of hire.
3. Telecommunications Dispatcher (Office/On-Site)
Job Type : Full-time
THE POSITION:
FACILITY: Office of the Commissioner
LOCATION: Safety Services Division at Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH)
ADDRESS: 1000 Silver Street, Middletown, CT
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, 40 hours weekly, third shift, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., every other weekend off
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – GENERAL EXPERIENCE
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience performing dispatching and record keeping functions for an organized Police Department.
Experience with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Incumbents in this class may be required to possess and retain certification as a Telecommunicator.
2. Incumbents in this class may be required to receive within three (3) months of appointment and retain certification in NCIC and COLLECT systems.
3. Incumbents in this class may be required to work a schedule that includes weekends, evenings and holidays.
