About Job:
Environmental Science Careers, Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., Technical Services Division (GBTS) is currently seeking an entry-level (0-2 years’ experience) environmental field scientist/technician that will be based out of our Poughkeepsie, New York office. Please note that this is a contract to hire with the opportunity to be hired full-time with Gallagher.
Qualification Required:
- BA/BS from a four-year college in environmental science, engineering, or related discipline
- Strong technical writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Office
- Valid driver’s license and willingness/ability to drive to sites
- Ability to perform work outdoors, should be able to lift field equipment (maximum about 30 pounds)
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Perform due diligence activities, include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Fieldwork involving collection soil, water, soil vapor and air samples
- Implementation of Community Air Monitoring Plan (CAMP) at remediation sites
- Conduct site reconnaissance
- Evaluate compliance with state and federal environmental regulations, laws, rules and codes
- Assist senior consultants with more complex environmental projects, data collection, and proposals

Responsibilities:
- Provide critical support and lead operational change initiatives. Apply robust levels of governance ensuring compliance with our processes

3. Senior Resolution Manager Job
- Exercises proper judgment and decision making to analyze the claims exposure, to determine the proper course of action and to appropriately settle the claim.
- Interacts extensively with various parties involved in the claim process.
- Able to clearly communicate concise action plans, and present plans for moving the case to conclusion.
- Will demonstrate complete knowledge of the claim file process through presentation of actions and responses to client questions.

4. Customer Service Representative – (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate outstanding listening skills while exhibiting excellent customer service, patience, and empathy to promote the company reputation of integrity.
- Answer incoming phone inquiries from clients, claimants and medical providers about claims information.
- Forward calls as needed to Resolution Managers and claims staff.
- Prevent and defuse situations through research, customer education and exploring alternative solutions to ensure a successful resolution

Responsibilities:
- You will manage increasingly complex accounts while collaborating with senior teammates
- Utilizing Gallagher’s resources and tools, you will create effective client deliverables
- You support the employee benefits Client Service Cycle to ensure a seamless renewal process. We measure success based on retention and our renewal target is 95%.
